Salesforce.com - MS Dynamics GP (Great Plains)
Overview
- Rapidi offers a standard solution for Integrating Salesforce.com and Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP).
- The standard solution consists of a predefined setup of a number of Transfers in your Rapidi Service.
- On a high level, the standard integration comprises Customer, Opportunity, and Item Integration
- In addition to this, you can choose to install a Salesforce.com application called SalesHistory3 that contains Salesforce.com objects to populate Sales Transaction History and Receivables Management Open/History File (visible on the Salesforce.com Account).
- The standard solution supports multiple MS Dynamics Great Plains (GP) Companies and multiple currencies from the start. This can be removed if it is not applicable to your environment.
- You can easily adapt the standard configuration to your needs by adding or removing specific fields (also custom fields) and you choose to disable parts of the standard if it is not relevant to your environment.
- In general, the standard solution has been designed to cause a minimal change in your Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP).
Setup requirements in Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP)
No extra fields are required in Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP), all corresponding Salesforce ID will be stored in Rapidi configuration via the Link Storage functionality or the Mirror Technology.
Setup requirements in Salesforce.com
Add extra fields to the following objects in Salesforce whichever is applicable:

| Account | Legal_Entity__c | Picklist | Customer integration | Field that contain a list of abbreviation for the GP Company name. Used to specify what GP Company this Account belongs to. Only needed if you have more than one Company in GP. |
| Account | Transferred__c | DateTime | Customer integration | Datetime field to contain a timestamp that can be used as filter to not transfer the same Account twice and as information of when this Account was transferred from SDFC to GP |
| Account | Transferred_Ship_Address__c | DateTime | Customer integration | Datetime field to contain a timestamp that can be used as filter to not transfer the shipping address twice and as information of when the shipping address was transferred from SDFC to GP. |
| Invoice | Bill_To_Code__c | Text15 | Sales history integration | This will be used to indicate the billing address code used for the invoice. |
| Sales Order | Bill_To_Code__c | Text15 | Sales order integration | This will be used to indicate the billing address code used for the order. |
| Sales Line | Document_Type_No__c | Text5 | Sales order (line) integration | This will be used to indicate the document type no. on sales order line, part of the key that is required in order line deletion. |

| Opportunity | Transferred__c | DateTime | Opportunity integration | Datetime field to contain a timestamp that can be used as filter to not transfer the same opportunity twice and as information of when this opportunity was transferred from SDFC to GP |
| Opportunity | AccountNumber__c | Formula/Text | Opportunity integration | This will be used to indicate that the opportunity is associated to an account that is a GP customer (ie. has GP customer number) |

Install new objects in Salesforce.com
Sales history integration
This is applicable for sales history integration.
Install new objects (SalesHistory3) in Salesforce.com to transfer Sales Transaction History and Receivables Management Open/History File from Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP) to Salesforce.com.

Sales order integration
This is applicable for sales order integration.
Install an add-on to the SalesHistory3 app in Salesforce.com in order to transfer a copy of open sales orders from Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP) to Salesforce.com.
