MS SQL Server

Support for the Microsoft SQL Server. All versions.

The following versions of MS-SQL Server are supported

• MS-SQL Server 2008
• MS-SQL Server Express
• MSDE
• MS-SQL Server 2000 and 2005
• MS-SQL Server 7 with minimum SP1 installed

Additional installation

If you want to transfer data to/from MS-SQL Server, you have to do the following:

• Install MS-SQL Client on the computer where the RapidiConnector is running.

Configuration

The fields of the MS-SQL Server Data Source Card are as follows:

• Description: Fill in a descriptive text.
• Server Connect: Here you specify the name of the MS-SQL Server (this might be the same as the computer name of the MS-SQL Server).
• Database: Specify the name of the database you want to use.
• Use Windows Autentication: If you want to use the same UserID and Password to access the server/database as for when logging on to your Windows, you can mark this field. Please note that it is the username that the RapidiConnector is running under, that is used. If you use windows authentication, then the fields UserID and Password are ignored.
  
• UserID: UserID, if needed.
• Password: Password, if needed.
