How to Publish a Web Service Page in Business Central
Publishing a web service page in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) allows external applications to interact with BC data via APIs. Follow these steps to expose a page as a web service:
1. Open Web Services Page:
- In Business Central, search for Web Services using the search bar.
- Open the Web Services page to view existing published services.
2. Add a New Web Service:
- Click New to create a new web service entry.
- In the Object Type column, select Page.
- In the Object ID column, enter the page ID you want to expose (e.g., 21 for Customers)
- In the Service Name column, enter a unique name (e.g.,
CustomersCard). - Check the Published box to enable the web service.
3. Refresh the connection layout in myRapidi:
- As soon as the new pages are published, open the current connection in Rapidi and click on Read Design;
- The new design ( including the new pages) will be complete in a very short time. Afterwards, you can use the new pages on any of you transfers.
